Come join Olga and Mitch for a week of practice designed to help you experience the full bandwidth of Yoga. Enjoy daily practices of Asana, Pranayama and Meditation. Immerse yourself simultaneously into nature and a community of like minded practitioners. Remove attachments, create energy and vitality, harmonise the body and mind. You will learn a balanced approach to practice that allows both growth and integration to be optimised.

Steadiness and Joy
Sthira Sukham Āsanam – āsana is that which is stable and comfortable (YS II.46). Steadiness means balance. Balance between too much and too little, strength and flexibility, work and leisure. In nature there is balance: creation, destruction, regeneration. The flower is enjoyed, the fruit eaten, the root preserved. We humans, products of nature, also need to learn about and practice a balanced life. Excess in thought and action as well as stagnation will tip the weight out of balance. Simplicity, purity, and love are foundation of wisdom which naturally bring us into a balanced state. In āsana practice we develop strength to hold steady in an arm balance, while free flowing, even and smooth breath expresses our inner state of equanimity and comfort. In meditation the body and still but not rigid, the mind alert yet calm.

In this retreat we will explore how to bring these qualities of steadiness and comfort, strength and joy, into our movement and meditation practice, ultimately hoping to bring these attributes into all of our actions and relationships.

15:00 – 17:00 Breath work, Yogic philosophy and Asana workshop (Monday, Wednesday, Friday)

20:30 Satsang (Saturday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday)

Classes are taught in English.

Coffee and fruit will be available in the morning before practice. All meals will be vegan.

LA SERRANÍA IS A RETREAT CENTER IN THE FOOTHILLS OF THE SERRA DE TRAMUNTANA MOUNTAINS IN NORTHERN MALLORCA.
Surrounded by oak woods and olive groves and built on limestone, the clear and serene architecture completely blends into the Mediterranean setting, creating a sense of harmony and wholeness.

800 hr Advanced Certified Jivamukti Yoga Teacher, mentor and facilitator of 75, 300 and 500 hour Jivamukti teacher trainings.

Australian now living in Spain, Mitch´s classes are inspired and developed through a combined practice of Jivamukti and Ashtanga Yoga. Movement and Breath are used as primary tools to harmonise the Body and Mind. Our sacred connection to the Breath is given the priority throughout all of Mitch’s classes. Understanding mindfulness to establish a strong foundation of inner peace is the outcome of consistent, regular and devoted practice. Using the asana to develop deep states of concentration.

Jivamukti Advanced Cert.

800 hour Advanced Certified Jivamukti teacher, mentor and facilitator of 75, 300 and 500 hour Jivamukti teacher trainings.

Olga Oskorbina is the founder and director of Jivamukti Yoga Barcelona. With a strong background in meditation her ability to conduct the energetic environment of a yoga class is unique and profound. She has a clear and concise method of teaching, allowing space for introversion in the practice. With a strong interest in all elements of yoga she continues to study and practice with great enthusiasm. Weaving these attributes together she presents students with a very comprehensive and nourishing experience of Jivamukti Yoga.
